Route 120

A designated Scenic Byway and is a spectacular drive 365 days a year! Known as the Bucktail Trail Scenic Byway, you can ride from Lock Haven all the way up through Clinton County with the Susquehanna River on one side and the mountains on the other....into the heart of Sproul State Forest. A must-see stop along the way is Hyner View State Park. 

Route 144 North

Just outside of Renovo, take Route 144 North for more great scenery. At the "T" turn left toward Kettle Creek State Park. Be on the lookout for elk, eagles, deer -- all kinds of wildlife. The Park itself and the overlook at  Alvin Bush Dam are great stopping points. This loop route brings you back out onto Route 120.  

Route 144 South

At the red light in Renovo, turn onto Route 144 South and travel another scenic byway -- the High Plateau             Scenic Byway. You'll be greeted by winding roads and beautiful vistas and natural areas...wild, remote territory!  

Route 664 - Coudersport Pike

From Lock Haven, take Route 664 (the Coudersport Pike) north and connect to Route 44. You can then take  Hyner Mountain Road to Hyner Run State Park, then take Route 120 back down to Lock Haven. A beautiful drive! 

Loganton
Time to hit the backroads in Clinton County, PA
Route 64 to Route 880

Route 64 from Mill Hall through Lamar, then out the Narrows Road along Fishing Creek, picking up Route 880 over to Loganton is another stunning drive with picturesque farmlands and the mountains as a backdrop. Make way for Amish buggies and be sure to make time to explore Amish produce stands and craft shops.
